Choosing A Summer Suit Made Easy

by Anthony Serposi

Choosing a summer suit is always more difficult than choosing a year round suit. The reason for this is because not all summer suits are appropriate for all occasions. This article will tell you everything you need to know about buying a summer suit.

Summer suits generally come in wool, linen, cotton, and seersucker. Which suit you choose will depend largely on where you plan to wear it.

Wool suits come in various weights and can be made into summer, winter, and even year round suits with relative ease. The key to choosing a proper wool suit is to make sure that you choose a lighter material. Worsted wool is the lightest wool suit you can find and is great for the office, weddings, funerals, or any other place you may want to wear it.

High prices, wrinkles, and the inability to dry clean this suit without the use of a professional are the main disadvantages of this suit. Having said this the worsted wool suit wrinkles less than any of its summer suit counter parts.

Wear a linen suit to all of your favorite summer social events. This type of summer suit is the most comfortable and relaxed in its class. Disadvantages consist of quickly fading colors and the tendency to wrinkle instantaneously.

Suits made from cotton are perfect for summer wear. This is because these suits allow for air to pass through the suit and onto the skin. The only trouble with a cotton suit is its ability to wrinkle easily. Wear this anywhere you like but be sure to minimize activities that cause wrinkling at the office.

Seersucker suits are widely known for being the coolest summer suits on the market. These suits are designed in a way that actually cools the skin and makes it more comfortable than having no shirt on at all. The major issue with this suit is that it cannot be found in models appropriate for business use.

Thank you for reading this article, my hope is that it has set you apart from most casual suit purchasers. From now on you should be able to make your summer suit purchases with a sense of purpose.
