Make Money At Home By Changing The Way You Think

by Kelly Heldreth

We all want more success for ourselves; more money, more control over our lives and of course, a greater amount of free time so that we can have the freedom to enjoy our lives. A few people have already discovered the path to achieving this, but most people struggle simply to make ends meet.

While there isn’t any kind of physiological difference between the wealthy and the poor, there is a very large difference between the poor and the wealthy in terms of how they think. It’s true that rich and poor people do not share the same belief systems. You may not think that your belief system really has that much influence over your odds of success; however, it is everything.

Being successful isn’t dependent on your background or your upbringing - instead, it’s all about knowing how to implement the ideas which can lead to success. You need to get around the things which keep you from being successful so you can start from nothing and become a massive success.

What wealthy people know that poor people don’t is that in order to get success, you have to be totally committed to your goals and willing to do whatever it takes to get there. They know that financial independence can be achieved not just by doing; but also by thinking the right things. To put it simply, becoming successful means that you have to be committed to your own personal development.

Before you even take the first step, you have to decide where you want to go. Driving is a good analogy. Say that you are driving - obviously, you have a place you are starting from and you have a destination you want to arrive at. To get somewhere if you have never been before, you can use a map or GpS unit to get there.

It doesn’t matter where you start from because once you identify the destination, you will know what direction to go in. Essentially, it makes no difference whether you need to travel 10, 100 or 1000 miles - eventually you will get there if you keep heading in the right direction - the distance is irrelevant.

Life is about a lot more than just going through the necessary motions to keep body and soul together. You have far more potential than just working towards staying in that job you hate to pay the bills - you should also set goals for yourself and achieve them; working towards a life you look forward to getting out of bed to live each day.

Get out some paper and make a list of the things you really want out of life. The total number of goals you come up with doesn’t matter - what does matter is that these goals have personal meaning to you. The more desire you have for these goals, the more powerful your drive will be to achieve them. If you’ve ever done something only to make someone else happy, then you know how much less fulfilling it is as opposed to achieving a goal which has your own desires behind it.

When you finish your list, go back to it and identify the top three of these goals; the ones you feel the strongest desire for. Write these three on another sheet of paper and post it all over you home to make sure they stay at the forefront of your mind at all times.

Once you know your destination, then your mind can draw up a map and show you the way.

Liberty League International What to Know Before You Invest

by George L. Kenney

Liberty League International is one of many home based business opportunities that you will find while searching the ‘net. Is it everything that the top producers and members of the Executive Marketing Council say it is? Or is it perhaps an over-hyped opportunity which has more than run its course? As someone who has been involved with Liberty league for close to a year, I hope to answer some of those questions for you and perhaps save you thousands of dollars in the process.

The level one product is a personal development course entitled “Beyond Freedom”. The course consists of a workbook, journal, plastic goal cards (the size of credit cards), a couple of pens, a set of 3 cds, a dvd, a pad of “post-it”s with beyond freedom inscribed on each and a wristband which is inscribed with “your life begins NOW”. That’s it and that retails for $1,495.00 plus $30.00 shipping. What is the true value of the product as a stand alone product? I know that yo can purchase a high quality journal for about $15.95, so you be the judge.

The compensation plan is an over-hyped. The business model is based on the Australian 2 up. Simply put you’re told that all you have to do is pass up your first two ‘training sales” to your adviser and then something wonderful is going to happen. Everyone you sponsor is going to pass up their first two sales to you and those two people will pass up their first two sales, and those two will pass up their first two sales. Don’t believe it, instead Google ‘Australian 2 up” and please read the information for yourself.

Another important aspect of the compensation plan and business model is that your adviser will probably lose interest in helping you after you have passed up your two “training sales”. Why? They will no longer have a vested interest in your business, as a matter of fact, you will now be in direct competition with them. This means that any new marketing secret that they learn might not be shared.

One of the first places that your adviser will send you is to a Professional Marketer/Conference Overview call. On that call members of the Executive Marketing Council will stress to you how important it is to “properly capitalize” your business. This means that you should invest another $7,995 for a Liberty Conference (a 3 day business conference) ticket, and an additional $12,995 for a Summit Conference (5 day business conference) ticket. That’s so when one of your associates purchases a Liberty or Summit ticket you will be “qualified to receive a profit” of $5,000 or $8,000.

The process can be somewhat confusing. First you hear that you can start this home based business opportunity for only $1,495.00 and the next thing you know you learn that in order to earn like the champions you’ll have to capitalize your business with another $20,990.00. The business model is also somewhat complex because your adviser must have four people on their register after you purchase either the Liberty or Summit Conference tickets in order for you to “qualify for profit” If they are not actively marketing, which many are not, you’ll have to pass up these sales in order to qualify yourself. This means that you’ll also be passing up as much as $65,000.00 in total “profits” to your adviser. How does that sit with you?

Before making your final decision you’ll want to do some due diligence. A good place to start is online with Google. If you check out Liberty League you’ll find some pretty unhappy folks out there, more than with most programs. Also check out Australian pass up programs. Many experts are now finding the same flaws which have been discussed here.

Dog Training Uncovered

by John Savage

Whoever said that dog training is easy must be living on another planet because the truth is that it can at times be very hard, and what dog owner has not met another owner who has been on the brink of giving up the effort. Yes, your dog want to please you, but, have you made it clear to them just what you want?

When your dog does what you want her to do it is essential that you offer reward and praise. Don’t just resort to punishment when they do something wrong, but reward them when they do it right. Dogs love it when we give them our full attention and approval, and they will do all they can in order to get it. For instance, if you want him to go to the toilet in a certain place then reward them when they do, in fact, go over the top with your praise. This positive reinforcement is vital to your success in getting your dog to do what you want.

Now there are some training aids on the market which you can buy, some quite frankly being much better than others. Expert dog trainers are now turning away from choke collars and chains saying that they are quite ineffective for the task, as well as being harmful. What is still held in high esteem however is a good strong collar and lead, one which you can give a gentle tug to and get your dogs attention without causing any discomfort. A dog needs to be reminded of what they can and cannot do, and a good lead will help with this. Some people like to use a muzzle in order to try and control barking both when out, and when at home, but we shopuld never forget that barking is something that comes naturally to a dog.

Another weapon in your arsenal of dog traing aids is the good old fashioned grooming brush. Most dogs just love the time when they are groomed, and they also love having a toy to play with. Give them a chewy top and you will keep them happy for hours, and they won’t be looking to chew the furniture or get up to mischief. Another basic aid is you, yes, your playing with your dog is not only great fun for both of you, but it will make sure that he or she has little energy left to get into trouble. It does not cost anything to play, so make sure you do.

One last thing to say and that is about bathing. If you start this when they are quite young then it can be an enjoyable activity for both of you. Make sure you only use proper dog shampoo, and follow up he bathing with dog conditioner as this make it easier to comb your dog later on. Use a good size towel for drying them, and be prepared to get a bit wet yourself!

Good Radiators Make Effective Central Heating Systems

by Tal Potishman

Take a modern car as an example. The engine creates the power by burning fuel. The power is then transferred by the wheels and tyres to pull the car forward. In the central heating world, the engine is your boiler and the wheels and tyres are your wall hung radiators. Just like in cars, a well designed and sized radiator is crucial for effective heat transfer from the boiler into the room and as such guarantee an effective and economic performance of your central heating system.

It might come as a surprise that those sleek looking stainless steel radiators offered by most UK plumbing and heating merchants date back more than 150 years. The first radiator was registered as a patent in 1855 by Franz Sangalli, a German engineer. In effect, despite considerable visual differences, the main working structure of the radiator is the same as the ones registered initially by Mr. Sangalli. The radiators are effectively a hollow case made of metal, shaped as a flat box and attached to the wall to maximize radiation of heat into the room.

UK made radiators are typically made of sheet steel with fins to emit more heat. The heating liquid, normally water, is pumped into the radiator. The hot liquid loses its heat into the room and as it cools off it drops to the bottom of the radiator and eventually is pumped out via the return valve. The air around the radiator heats up and consequently rises to the top of the room, drawing in cooler air. This convection effect keeps a circulation of heating within the room and constant heat within the home.

Like many closed loop systems with a heat transfer liquid within them, the radiators and the pipes develop air pockets. Over time air bubbles are seeping through tiny cracks in the system causing air pockets. By using a professional plumber you would reduce the risk of such air pockets as they are likely to use good quality compression fittings that minimize the risk of such cracks.

An alternative explanation for the bubbles within the circulation loop is that they are the result of a chemical reaction that occurs when copper piping and other metals are in continuous contact with very hot water. Such reactions lead to tiny bubbles of hydrogen that float within the system and find their way to the upper most point of the closed loop heating system. This explains why it is often the top of the radiator that remains cold (as it is filled with gas rather than hot water). Is such cases it is recommended to bleed the radiator from the bleeding valve at the top of the radiator, using a special bleeding key. Such keys can be found in all major DIY stores in the UK.

Another common problem affecting radiators is a build up of sludge. Since hot water rubs against iron, copper and other metals within the closed central heating loop, the resulting chemical reaction creates not only gases but also chemical deposits. Such chemical deposits remain in the sealed system and clog the pipes, reducing their performance and effectiveness.

Such corrosion can be addressed and prevented by ensuring that the plumber installing your central heating system adds a chemical corrosion inhibitor into the closed circulation loop. Prior to doing this most plumbers these days go one step further and actually power flush the system to remove any build up and debris that might have accumulated within the pipes. Even new systems may require a power flush to remove debris that has been there as a result of the manufacturing processes of the pipes and the radiators.

Handmade Soap for Gift Baskets

by Diane Kelly

People all over are learning how to make soap at home. It is easier than you might think. If you have the space to make a soapy mess then it is well worth it to make it the center piece of a gift basket.

Soap is a chemical reaction of fat combining with lye. Some of you may remember making lye soap. If you do then you are pretty old because it is not commonly used anymore. Making soap at home was not a hobby way back then but a necessity.

Supplies are not complicated or that hard to find. Just look on the internet and you will find a complete list. Use stainless steel when you have a choice. You will need spoons, whisks, pots, bowls and the like. You’ll need an oil like coconut or olive oil for example.

A luxurious touch could be adding a fragrance. It is luxurious and uniquely yours. Be careful that the intended user is not allergic to the additives.

Your soap basket can contain other niceties of the bath like bath oil beads or bath salts. A handy loofah is generally appreciated too. A back scrubber and color coordinated nett sponge.

A person touch could be to match the basket’s theme to those of your friend or families bathrooms. The soaps could be the same colors as their towels or shower curtains. They will appreciate the extra time you have taken to notice their home and make something that is especially for them.

Any occasion will benefit from a gift basket featuring hand made soaps. A baby shower, birthday or house warming come to my mind right away. Think of new and different ways to use hand made soap baskets. Why greet your new neighbor with a tired old apple pie or chocolate chips cookies when you can show off your hand made soaps.

I hope you have learned a few ideas about how to make your own soap and what a luxury it can be these days. Making lye soap is not just for great grandma anymore. So get to work and send me some soap.
