Telemarketing, entering data, doing surveys and other such related jobs are the key ones available for work-at-home mothers. Sadly, majority of the data entry jobs are scam. However, a few legitimate companies ask for a nominal amount to meet their recurring expenses. If you are sure about their past performance and track, you can pay them and start the work. If you have, some doubts about a particular company you can always verify its credibility with some sites that are having the list of scam sites. Home Employment - Fact Or Myth?
It’s not that I’m against working outside of the home, I mean it’s tiring going to one job why would I want two (2) jobs outside the home? I wish I could find \”Legitimate home employment’ situation. I read an article someplace that stated that no one can get rich working one menial job. All of these self help gurus make me want to hurl!!! They never ever provide the actual places they go to find home employment opportunities because they are full of it they don’t actually know of any.
We all know someone who has a friend of a friend who has worked from their home. I know first hand people who’ve sold Jewelry and done parties, sold cosmetics or lingere. Of course that has been a staple of stay at home moms for years selling makeup, or other items from purchasing a small part of a larger franchise. But you can only sell but soo much from home. At some point you would have to leave the home to find customers. Once you leave the home it is no longer \”legitimate home employment\”. it becomes a day job.
I once purchased software to do medical billing from home; however, the start up was just too much for me. I would have to find my own clients and this also meant leaving the house to cold call doctor’s offices. Too much up front time would have to be expended in order to get a business of this nature off the gound.
If I could do my current job from home, I would work very hard and be honest about the amount of time I put in. Just the gas savings and drive time to and from work would give me an advantage!
I am currently working as a 1099 employee outside the home and the self-employment tax is killing me. It is better for the individual I work for to pay me this way so he does not have to pay the taxes; however, I must pay a 15% tax on all money earned after expenses are deducted.
I suppose there is a way to file paperwork to set up my own business that would allow me to write off more expenses; however, I do not have the money to go about doing this in the proper fashion. Isn’t that what they call a \”Catch 22\”?
I would love to come up with some type of intellectual property that I could copywright; however, I don’t believe anything is new anymore, it has all been done before. Even if I did come up with an idea, who has the money to copywright it, have a prototype made and have it produced? I imagine that is why people need financial backing. If I had that I wouldn’t need a second job!
If anyone out there has truly learned a way to make money from home, I beg of you, please call me! As usual, there are still bills to pay, braces to pay for, groceries to purchase and vacations I would love to dream about and someday have the time and money to take!
Does a Name Help My Infant Sleep
A poorly named child can be traumatized for their entire lives. A wrong name, like in the song by Johnny Cash, A Boy Named Sue can be dreadful. Sue was given the girl’s name to toughen him up by an absentee father.
Would Sue have made the same choice if he had the opportunity? Possibly but probably not. I have many times thought that a child should be able to choose his or her own name anyway. Would sleeping baby John Ritchie rename himself Sid Vicious or would napping baby Sally become Princess Banana Hammock? Or otherwise!
My son was named very unceremoniously. My wife was carted out of the recovery room all lathered up. As she held our sleeping baby boy we were harassed by an administrative type asking me what we wanted to name our baby. I had forgotten what we wanted to name him and thought, erroneously that he would have to go through his life unnamed.
Some parents have gone crazy naming their children names so unique that they make no sense at all, except to them. They claim that the googleability of their child’s name may become VERY relevant when they being job hunting. Do ya think that this is a little obsessive? Dah!
Give it thought. Verify that the name will not turn people off or has some other connotations that will follow the infant. An odd name will surely cause many unforeseen problems for a young adult. A well known musician named is children Moon Unit and Dweezil. What fuss do you think that can cause?
A name should also be simple or simply put simple for people to say and spell. It is efficient if not practical to use a J for a soft J sound not a G. We often take jabs at the English language because of bizarre spellings - this time you get to choose. Choose Wisely.
If you have a large closely knit family naming your child will surely upset someone. Maybe Great Aunt Pooky was hoping before she died you would find it in your hearts to name your napping baby after her. Be sure to do what you want. Don’t cave to the pressures family can bring upon you.
In truth name your child something that fits - fits for you. Ask advice for anyone you care to but in the end it is what you think that matters. Do you really want to shout from the backyard window at dusk — Optimus Prime get in here and do your homework? In the end it is whatever helps your baby sleep through the night now isn’t it?
